Whenever I hear the word drama the first thing that comes to mind is high school girls. I know that drama is when a bunch of stupid things happen between girls and everyone exaggerates and freaks out. I also think about Shakespeare. I think Shakespeare was the first plays and dramas we read in school. I believe we read Romeo and Juliet in eighth or ninth grade and we acted them out. Last year we read A Raisin in the Sun and the play about the witches. I know that Dramas are meant to be acted out. I think about plays and acting and movies. I think about people being really dramatic and over-reacting about something. These are all things that don’t really have to do with the genre of drama, but have to do with what the word “drama” has come to mean. Last year we talked a lot about blocking and acting. We learned what each part of the stage was called. We also learned how to put emotion into the characters and not be so boring when we were acting in front of the class. I don’t know anything about Hamlet right now because I have gotten a little behind and haven’t started reading it. However, I am about to leave for Destin and I plan on reading while I am laying out on the beach to catch up on everything I missed last week.
Drama.

LIZ! Yes Drama has come to mean a lot of things. I remember in ninth grade when we acted out Midsummer Night’s Dream which was really fun. When we use to act in French Class I always preferred playing inanimate objects. That way I only had a few lines in french HA. Well it was only a page so you won’t have trouble catching up. Just don’t read one through 29 like me !!

Hahahahahahah that was really funny. Liz do you remember when we did “Pimp my chariot”?? hahaha that was probably the WORST acting I have ever seen. I mean I had to act like a ghetto, slightly Roman mechanic…not to mention try to be a guy too haha. You had to walk like a pimp haha

haha liz my drama blog basically sounds like this at first, haha janie i forgot about that video, we definitely needed some acting lessons and better staging… and maybe if we had had some direction and blocking we wouldn’t have broken mrs. roy’s trophey. she got so mad! But I really liked how you went through the plays we’ve read each year. I forgot about some of them! Nice work!
